Learning and Training
WorkLife and Organizational Development provides annual learning and training opportunities at no charge for staff and faculty in a variety of formats, and will develop and deliver custom programs upon school, college, or department request to address specific needs. Programs include:
HR facilitates a representative committee of staff from around campus to provide lunch-and-learn opportunities on a variety of topics. The program is based on the belief that SU's staff members have a great deal of information, skills, and ideas to share. The committee identifies areas of interest for personal and professional development and finds SU staff (and outside presenters) to deliver programs during the lunch hour. The program is offered three times each year in the fall, spring, and summer.
HR offers training programs with topics ranging from time management to supervisory skills to all faculty and staff. These half-day programs are offered during work hours.
