Winners of the 2013 On My Own Time Exhibit

Syracuse University faculty and staff were honored for their artistic contributions at the closing reception of the On My Own Time (OMOT) exhibition on May 15 at Hendricks Chapel. Judges from Syracuse University and a panel of professional artists from CNY Arts (formerly the Cultural Resources Council) chose 17 out of 66 pieces of art for special mention. Some 32 SU employees contributed work in a variety of media, including photography, ceramics, drawing and glasswork.

Pieces selected by the CNY Arts judges for inclusion in the fall 2013 OMOT exhibition at the Everson Museum of Art are:

Alejandro Garcia's color photography, "A Violinist's Solo," was voted "Best of Show" by visitors to the exhibition.

"On My Own Time" is a creation of CNY Arts (formerly the Cultural Resources Council of Syracuse) and Onondaga County, in cooperation with the Everson Museum of Art. It was developed as a community arts program to bring visibility to the creative skills of people employed in local businesses. SU is proud to participate in the 40th year of this program.
