Retiree and Family Services
Group Home and Auto Insurance Program (METPAY)
Retirees may participate in SU's group home and auto insurance program through METPAY. Rate quotes are available online from METPAY by calling 800-438-6388 to obtain SU's access code, then visiting the metpay.com web site.
SU Identification Cards
As a retiree, your SUID card gives you continued access to the University library, recreation facilities, ITS public computer labs, and the campus bus service. The SUID also enables you to obtain a discount on purchases at the Syracuse University Bookstore and a discount on season tickets for athletic events. Retirees who wish to use any of the ITS public computer labs must have an active NetID.
A retiree's spouse/same-sex domestic partner and dependents may also apply for an ID card, for which they will be charged a small processing fee. SUID cards allow family members to use facilities listed above (except the computer cluster), and the bookstore and athletic ticket discounts.
If your current SUID card was issued prior to fall 1990, you are encouraged to visit the ID Card Office at 202 Steele Hall and get a new, encoded ID card at no charge.
Emeritus Parking
Emeritus faculty are eligible for an emeritus parking pass, which permits parking in any campus lot (except gated lots) on a space-available basis for an annual fee. Contact Parking Services at 443-4652 for further information.
The benefits listed above apply as indicated to retired and emeritus faculty and retired staff members of Syracuse University. All benefits programs are subject to change. In the event of a conflict between the above information and actual plan documents, the plan documents will rule.
