SU's Annual Strawberry Festival is June 13, 2008

strawberry Celebrate summer, rain or shine, at the annual Strawberry Festival on the Quad hosted by University College and Human Resources. The festival will be held on Friday, June 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Staff, faculty, and students are invited for strawberry shortcake and sundaes, a two-mile fun run that starts at noon, raffles, and music by Syracuse University 's Brass Ensemble. A service "trade show" will feature information tables staffed by benefits vendors and SU departments. Representatives will be available to answer your benefit and/or campus questions. Grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers will be available to purchase. Shuttle buses will provide transportation from South Campus to College Place.

Don't wait in line for tickets; pre-event tickets for strawberry shortcake/sundaes go on sale June 9 at the Carrier Dome Concessions office. To purchase tickets in advance, send an ID with ticket delivery instructions, including a room number, to Carole Harris (x4020) at the Carrier Dome. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the Carrier Dome Concessions June 9-12 or on the Quad June 13.

No sun? No problem! Here's the rain plan: the "trade show" will be held under the tent on the Quad as usual; desserts only will be served on the Quad (no grilled lunch items), and you can enjoy the Brass Ensemble's performance in Hendricks Chapel.
