SU Employee Pumpkin Carving Contest

Are you crafty with a carving tool? Can you work miracles with a pumpkin? Show us your pumpkin carving talent at SU's first annual Employee Pumpkin Carving Contest. Prizes will be awarded to the top three pumpkins voted on by attendees of the October 20 Showcase event.

Here are the details:

  1. Pick-up a pumpkin and participation form from HR, Skytop Office Building on:
    • Wednesday, October 14, 12 - 2 p.m. or 4 - 5 p.m.
    • Thursday, October 15, 12 - 2 p.m. or 4 - 5 p.m.
    • Friday, October 16, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

  2. Carve your pumpkin.

  3. Deliver your pumpkin and participation form on Tuesday October 20 to:
    Goldstein Auditorium, Schine Student Center
    between the hours of 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
    Please include a battery operated lighting device to illuminate your pumpkin (no candles please).

  4. Vote. All attendees at the SU Appreciation Showcase on October 20 from 4 - 6 p.m. will be asked to place their vote for their favorite pumpkin. The top three winners will be announced via SU Today on Thursday, October 22.
    • First Prize: Overnight stay for two, including breakfast at the Renaissance Syracuse Hotel
    • Second and Third Prizes: Two tickets to the SU vs. Akron football game, October 24
