Strive to make representative and diverse talents visible in the campus community.
Pursue vigorously greater diversity through recruiting, retaining, and promoting faculty and staff.
Create a comprehensive diversity awareness program that will benefit new and existing employees by giving them skills to handle very complex and pervasive issues.

Dialogue Circles
Disability Mentoring Day: Disability Mentoring Day (DMD) is celebrated nationally on the third Wednesday of each October, in recognition of National Employment Awareness for Individuals with Disabilities month. Syracuse University is proud to participate in this event which joins employers (mentors) and individuals with disabilities (mentees) to promote career development through job shadowing, workplace tours and hands-on career exploration for job seekers with disabilities.

Diversity Network: The Diversity Network was created to forge partnerships with more than 40 local minority job locator resources. The network holds quarterly meetings, hosts a job fair each summer, partners with minority web sites and local radio for advertising campaigns, and strategically utilizes affirmative action data. These efforts have yielded a more diversified applicant pool.
