Syracuse American Heart Association Heart Walk Kintera Cup and Top Team - Education Division - Collegiate (2008)The Kintera Cup award recognizes the team that raises the most money online. In addition to the Kintera Cup, SU was also recognized as the top team in the education/collegiate division for the 2008 American Heart Association Heart Walk.
Syracuse University Student Centers & Programming Services Spotlight Award (2006-2007)This award is presented to an exceptional person, student or full-time staff employee who is employed outside of Student Centers & Programming Services.

CNY SHRM Annual Employer of Choice Awards Nominee and Winner (2005)“The Overall HR Excellence Award in the large organization category honors Syracuse University for its ability to mobilize resources effecting change on a large scale (developing an outreach strategy to improve diversity recruitment) as well as for SU’s commitment to its employees as evidenced by the establishment of a life-long medical program for retirees.”
Donlon – Best Practices in Family Workplaces Policies (2005)“The Donlon Award recognizes the University’s programs and practices aimed at responding to and exceeding the standard responses to work and family needs of staff and faculty. HR was also honored for its five focus areas in the work/life continuum: wellness, family care, flexible work arrangements, individual growth and development and counseling.”
CUPA-HR Eastern Region Excellence in HR Practices Award (2004)“The Excellence in Human Resource Practices Award recognizes the achievements of colleges and universities, human resource professionals, or both in improving the quality of institutional programs and services through effective human resource administration practices. Each region, in accordance with its own awards process, selects award recipients; therefore, each region's awards committee accepts nominations for this award.”
Donlon – Spirit of Excellence Award (2003)Certificate of Achievement – (2002, 2001)
This local award is named for William Donlon, former CEO of Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. and the first Success By 6 chair, who believed employers can play an important role in the community's effort to support its youngest children by offering parents benefits that allow them to balance work and family responsibilities.
